24hours...

So, ive just had a wirl wind 24 hours in my home town, the one and only london town.
First stop Nottinghill, where i met my friend Sarah and had lunch and then on to buy a gorgeous cream fur jacket, for a bargin of £35!! hurrah, it will keep me warm and snug in the tub!

Then onwards to Shepherds Bush, where i began to buy material for my final collection, pink silk, grey silk, cream crushed velvet. Very very excited to start to make it all up into real clothes i can wear. lalala

Last but not least baking lots and lots of CUPCAKES!! mmmmm

My train journey back this evening wasn't however, as exciting or glamorous as the journey had by P.Diddy and Natalia Vodianova in American Vogues spread...

oh how i can wish.......

2nd year collection times

So, this is my collection from second year, based on animal skins and the prints, my main focus always being on the materials i use.

Material depicts the market the clothes are aiming for, no matter how beautifully constructed the garment is, if the feel of the material isn't correct, the garment becomes incorrect, unfinished. I chose to use several different wool mixes as well as leather in subtle places such as the nose on the tiger face or on the face of the elephant on the grey dress.

Each outfit represents an animal, the black and white dress being a panda, the big big circles at the front being eyes. The t.shirt is a very obvious illustration of a tiger which i hand drew and then using the embroidery machine, sewed it onto the t.shirt. The blazer uses snakes skins on the shoulders to replicate the snake itself!!

So, though this is now slightly old i thought i'd share it anyway...
